Cannes 2012: Justin Timberlake is Scoring Movies Now

+

It’s official: the follow-up to Futuresex/Lovesounds you’ve been waiting for is never ever going to come. The Hollywood Reporter reported today that Justin Timberlake’s fiancée Jessica Biel is set to star in a flick titled The Devil in the Deep Blue Sea along with Chloë Grace Moretz and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. More interesting though, is the fact that Justin Timberlake is set to compose the score and supervise the music in the movie.

Morgan will play a man who finds himself bereft widower after losing his wife (Biel) in a car accident. As grieving men in movies are wont to do, he finds solace by helping a young girl with a crazy project; namely building a raft to sail across the Atlantic. (Let’s see you try to work “Rock Your Body” into this one, Timberlake.)

What JT is really doing here is showing you that, in addition to starring in movies, producing songs, and escorting lady soldiers to fancy parties, scoring movies is another thing he’d rather do than put out another album. Be on the lookout for a children’s book and a potential food truck on the horizon.
