It happens all the time that a TV show that’s well-received by critics and adored by fans just can’t get a big enough viewership to justify staying on the air, like Freaks and Geeks or Firefly. Unlike those series, ABC’s Pushing Daisies made it to two whole seasons before it got the axe. Also unlike most shows that get canceled, it looks like there’s some chance that fans of Pushing Daisies will get a little bit of closure. In an interview with TV Line, the show’s creator Bryan Fuller danced around the idea of the show landing on Broadway, saying “We’re working on something that is definitely a Pushing Daisies revival and the idea would be to have as many cast [members] as we can to participate in it.” That’s still pretty vague, but for people who wanted to know what happened after the end of season 2, it’s something to pin your hopes on. Hope for their sake that the persistent lack of original ideas of Broadway makes way for a sure thing!
