Bush Responds to His Appearance in Kanye West’s ‘Famous’ Video

+

When Kanye West debuted his “Famous” music video on Friday, the Internet immediately began placing bets on how quickly the rapper would get sued by the celebrities he included. The video, based on Vincent Desiderio’s painting, Sleep, shows Yeezy naked in bed alongside some of his arch-nemeses, including ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, Kim Kardashian’s sex tape co-star Ray-J, Taylor Swift, Donald Trump and George W. Bush.

Out of all the celebrities featured in the video, it seems the one least likely to have a sense of humor about it would be President Bush—especially considering West famously said the former president “doesn’t care about Black people” in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. But it seems Bush won’t be taking Kanye to court any time soon.

His team released a statement saying, “In case there was any doubt… that is not President Bush,” adding, “He is in much better shape.” Maybe Swift and the rest of the “Famous” crew should follow his lead and “Shake It Off.”
