Bob Dylan Becomes First Musician to Win Nobel Prize For Literature

Literature, am I right?! Who has time these days to sit down and read a book. I barely have the attention span to read my twitter feed, preferring, in its stead, the instant gratification of Instagram or, better yet, Snapchat.

Usually when the recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature is announced, it’s like, ugh, now I need to go out and read a book or at least pretend to have read a book. But not this time, my friends, for the times they are a changin.

The recipient of this year’s Nobel Prize for Literature is none other than Bob Dylan, a man whose songs you’ve surely heard before. And if for some reason you’ve been living under a rock or your parents were supremely uncool, you can get to know some of Dylan’s greatest hits in the span of an afternoon. And you oughta, because they’re goddamn great, and this award is well-deserved.

The guy could never sing, but could he ever write. Congratulations, Bob Dylan. And thank you, for saving us the pain of reading.
