Bill Murray’s become a selective dude as he’s advanced in age (unless you count the two Garfield movies he’s been in, which for the purpose of making this point, I guess we just won’t), doing no more than two movies a year tops, and a whole mess of those were either directed by Wes Anderson or Jim Jarmusch. Well, this year the actor got a little more active as 2012 will see Bill Murray in a whopping three movies (Moonrise Kingdom, Hyde Park on Hudson, and A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III), and if he’s already picking roles by summer’s end, then his 2013 might just as productive.
According to The Playlist, Bill Murray will star in St. Vincent de Van Nuys, a black list screenplay written by Ted Melfi (who’s also set to direct) about a young boy who forms a relationship with a vietnam veteran who’s into drinking, gambling, and prostitutes. Sounds like somebody’s still after that statue he just missed for Lost in Translation, huh? Let’s see you slide into a third Garfield movie after this one, Murray.
