You gotta feel bad for this guy. Some unlucky male model will be living in a Paris gallery for sixty hours starting June 27 for Band of Outsiders’ debut Paris Fashion Week show. WWD reported earlier today that the single model will spend the three days living in a “small compartment built from cardboard boxes and wood planks in the front window of a yet-to-be-divulged gallery in the city’s Marais district.” We don’t know about you, but we think this has all the hallmarks of a Marina Abramovic durational performance art piece—specifically The House with the Ocean View. The model will be let out of the display every two hours to change into a new look and “presumably to relieve himself every so often,” but will have to sleep there. The show will broadcast live in its entirety at the-longest-show-ever.bandofoutsiders.com. It sounds like it sucks, but hey, from what we know about male models’ living conditions, this might actually count as an upgrade over their regular Paris digs.
