Aziz Ansari and Eric Wareheim Make The Only Music Video Kanye West’s ‘Famous’ Needs

+

Those of you who followed along with Aziz Ansari and Eric Wareheim’s pasta-fueled trip to Italy know that they are the ultimate in #FriendshipGoals (apologies to Kendall and Gigi as well as Taylor Swift and her many many best friends. And anyway, it don’t make no sense, Tay Tay. “Best” implies just one). Apparently that vacay wasn’t simply for pleasure, as their Instagram feeds led us to believe; Ansari and Wareheim went to Italy to film a music video for Kanye West’s “Famous” (again, apologies to Taylor Swift).

Kanye has yet to release any music videos to accompany a track off The Life of Pablo, but one can assume that if and when he does, it will be unnecessarily long (like, way longer than the actual song) and directed by a famous fashion designer, Academy Award winning feature film director or, worst yet, Kanye himself. It will be moody and artistic and it will take itself very very seriously. I will probably make fun of it right here on this website.

Lucky for us, such a thing does not exist and instead we get this: a super goofy music video directed by and starring the Masters of None costars. As far as I’m concerned, West should outsource all future videos to these two, though I wouldn’t be surprised if he was unfamiliar with their work. In fact, he probably thinks he made these bitches famous.
