The english language has been dying a slow, gruesome death for years now, and Oxford Dictionaries just delivered another powerful blow by adding a bunch of embarrassing words to its online repertoire. Here are some of the worst additions with their corresponding definitions. I have also provided examples, in case you’d like to become the sort of irritating human that uses these words.
Awesomesauce: Extremely good; excellent.
This tomato sauce is awesomesauce!
Bruh: A male friend (often used as a form of address)
That’s my meatloaf, bruh!
Hangry: Bad-tempered or irritable as a result of hunger.
Jessica gets super hangry if she doesn’t have her muesli.
Abso-bloody-lutely: Emphatic or humorous form of absolutely.
I abso-bloody-lutely hate humanity for creating these words.
Fur baby: A person’s dog, cat or other furry pet animal.
Melissa has a fur baby, but not many human friends.
Cat cafe: A cafe or similar establishment where people pay to interact with cats housed on the premises.
A cat cafe is a good place to cry.
Mic drop. (But rly, “mic drop” has been added too. So has rly)
