Artists have been coming together in all different ways to fight the impending doom of a Trump Administration. Artists like Marilyn Minter and Barbara Kruger have asked the art world to go on strike, while 80 other female artists have come together in a group show. Now, 12 New York artists have put together their own exhibition, curated by Savannah Spirit, to protest the President-Elect through sex. Part of the HOTTER THAN JULY series at Undercurrent Projects in Manhattan, Hands Off My Cuntry, is tackling The Donald’s misogyny head-on, through erotic art.

“I felt an increasing need to do something drastic and to call even more attention to the madness of Trump’s impending presidency and the relationship he has with women,” said Spirit. “[…] Sex and erotica are the most effective ways to capture attention.”

Featuring work from 12 different multimedia artists, including Spirit, Hands Off My Cuntry will donate 20 percent of their proceeds to Planned Parenthood.

“The last thing American women need is to go back in time to the back alley abortion and possibly die from not having proper care,” says the show’s mission statement. “The last thing we need is America to take a big step back. Going forward is the only way.”

Hands Off My Cuntry is open now, until January 22.
