Class act Amy Adams just made it very, very easy for entertainment websites to make punny references about how classy she is. The epitome of class was about to board a flight from Detroit (where she’s currently filming Batman v Superman) to L.A., when she noticed a U.S. soldier about to board the same flight. ABC News reports that the actress showed pure class when she “privately” asked if she could switch seats with the serviceman. And here’s the kicker: Amy Adams was originally seated in first class. Get it now?
ESPN host Jemele Hill was there to witness it:
Just saw actress Amy Adams do something incredibly classy. She gave her 1st class seat to an American soldier. I’m an even bigger fan now.

For Adams, the move makes sense. Not only is it great PR, but she also grew up a military brat and no doubt has a special place in her heart for those who serve. Adams reportedly met the soldier near the cockpit after the switch was made, and stood there for the rest of the flight, because Amy Adams does not fly coach.
