If you caught Antony and the Johnsons’ very weird, very violent clip for “Cut the World,” you may have recognized the lady who cuts his throat. She’s Dutch actress Carice Van Houten, and she’s probably best known to American audiences as Melisandre from Game of Thrones. Well, apparently Van Houten is something of a musician in her own right, having sung vocals for her 2006 flick Black Book, and now she’s releasing her debut album. See You on the Ice comes out in the Netherlands on Sept. 28, but for now we’ve got this video for track “Particle of Light,” featuring vocals from Antony Hegarty. With the song called “Particle of Light,” you might be tempted to make jokes about the Lord of Light and Van Houten’s character from Game of Thrones birthing a homocidal shadow, and the video doesn’t help either; it’s a single image of a burning fuse that’s extremely remniscent of a .gif you might have seen from the show.
