Get ready for the second coming of the 8-Ball Zine Fair this Sunday at Manhattan’s Space Billiards. The non-drug related gathering will feature zines upon zines—mini-magazines, oft-times handmade with a limited printing—cleverly featured on the K-town billiard hall’s verdant pool tables, so leave your portable pool cue at home. Expect a motley gathering of zine heads and publishers out to see and share—with displays from New York’s own: Dashwood Books, Peradam, nowork, Seems Books, Swill Children, Jason Polan, Hassla Books, and Pau Wau Publications, along with work from the west coast’s Hamburger Eyes magazine and France’s Etudes Studio.
Budding zine, mixtape, and record makers are welcome to bring and sell their own fare. And for the collector or the returning patron from June’s inaugural shindig comes another zine set curated by BULLETT favorite Lele Saveri, photog for Rolling Stone, Apartmento, and Vice. Filled with work from photographers and illustrators, the set features the likes of Evan Morris Cohen, Giorgio Di Salvo, Charlie Engman, Richard Kern and Andreas Laszlo Konrath. Drinks, Korean food, and DJs J.R. and Fuck This Life will be on hand to keep things vibing. Entry is free. Zine cred is not.
The 8-Ball Zine Fair will take place this Sunday, December 2nd from 2pm-12am at Space Billiards, 34 West 32nd Street, 12th floor in Manhattan, NY.
