You may not know GucciGhost, aka Trevor Andrew, by name, but if you’re even a casual Gucci fan, you’ve definitely seen his work. The luxury-obsessed Brooklyn street artist turned into a regular brand collaborator when Alessandro Michele spotted his work and subsequently slapped his graffiti-esque dripping double G motif on skirts, bags, track jackets, and shirts. Basically, he’s living the dream. And according to W, he’s about to release a line of exclusive merch for rapper 2 Chainz’s new album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music. And here we thought the whole tour merch craze was winding down.
The collection will include hoodies, shirts, and baseball hats with 2 Chainz’s name in GucciGhost’s signature spray paint-inspired font. Oh, and in case the whole thing wasn’t extra enough already, guess what color they are? Millennial Pink, of course.
Unfortunately, getting your hands on this (presumably much cheaper than Gucci) collaboration isn’t going to be easy. If you’re a New Yorker who isn’t afraid to brave a long line (or hire a Task Rabbit), show up at 54 Greene Street on June 7 from 3-6 p.m. Or, if you’re more partial to hitting the ‘refesh’ like a maniac, the pieces will be available online for just 24 hours on June 8. And remember: there’s always eBay.
